Lydia Taylor is a married mother of five with over 15 years of experience in real estate and property management. She began her career in property management as a leasing agent in multi-family apartment homes. Over the years she worked her way up to Regional Property Manager and Special Projects Coordinator working directly for the COO of a multi-state property management firm. During her time as an onsite and Regional Property Manager, she maintained thousands of units and managed multiple employees. She supervised large construction and rehabs of properties. And she developed, maintained, and implemented workflow systems for onsite and regional managers to use. Eventually, she tired of the large corporate work environment and began her own company in 2012 with the hope to help not only investors but homeowners who were looking for alternatives to selling their home in a struggling market. 

Austin Taylor was an initial start-up investor for River Region Rentals due to his great confidence in Lydia’s abilities, which he has observed through most of Lydia’s career. As the business grew in size and scope, Lydia was greatly in need of full-time help. She had a number of part-time employees but was searching for a permanent addition to the team. Austin eventually came on board full-time in January of 2015. His background is in mechanical engineering, where he managed manufacturing automation projects of great complexity and of enormous cost. The last years of his engineering career he was managing several million dollars worth of projects annually. Currently, he is focused on the background work that keeps River Region Rentals going, such as diagnosing maintenance issues, sending contractors to maintenance calls, working on property improvements, billing, and record keeping. This lets Lydia do what she does best, which is do great work on behalf of management clients and their tenants. This also lets Austin do what he does best – organize projects and work on multiple tasks simultaneously, while enabling others like Lydia to excel.
